On Oct. 21, Small Business Development Corporation of Orange County received approval of its application for a $10,000 grant from the Community Development division of First Citizens Bank in Raleigh, N.C. Funds will support the nonprofit corporation’s mission of helping vulnerable small businesses in economically distressed areas acquire the capital they need to move forward and prosper. Such assistance ultimately bolsters the economy of the region and the state and is vital to nonprofit economic development entities working in at-risk sectors.
